Lead CRNA | MUSC Health Kershaw Medical Center | Camden, SC


MUSC Health – Kershaw Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Leader to join a high-performing Anesthesia Care Team in Camden, South Carolina. The Lead CRNA will report to the Director of CRNA Services and collaborate with the Anesthesiology Medical Director, CRNAs, anesthesiologists, and support staff to oversee day-to-day CRNA operations.


This position combines clinical anesthesia care with leadership responsibilities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The Lead CRNA will help support clinical operations, staff development, workflow improvements, patient safety, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency.


Position Highlights:

• Anesthesia Care Team/Medical Supervision model

• Cases include Urology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, ENT, Endoscopy, and Cardioversions

• 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts

• Separate dedicated night and weekend call staff

• USGRA, SAB, LE, and central lines

• Collaborative practice environment

• Team-oriented culture focused on patient-centered care

• No call required


Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Provide clinical anesthesia care

• Promote interprofessional collaboration and support strategic initiatives and program development

• Plan, organize, monitor, and evaluate divisional activities and goals

• Collaborate with leadership to improve clinical and non-clinical workflows, productivity, patient safety, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency

• Identify opportunities to improve clinical practices and processes

• Help recruit, develop, empower, and motivate team members

• Experience with vascular, minimal pediatric, neuro, regional, orthopedic, and outpatient anesthesia

• Graduate of a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs-approved program

• Master’s degree or higher with a concentration in Nurse Anesthesia required for those hired after March 1, 2019

• Current South Carolina APRN license or eligibility to obtain licensure

• Must meet MUSC malpractice insurance requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through an approved provider

• New graduates are not eligible
