Assistant Director of Nurse Anesthesia Program – CRNA
St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia/ Rhode Island College is actively seeking a full-time, W2 Assistant Director-CRNA for its DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program. Competitive annual base salary $270k (non-call taking) or $300k (call taking), along with $25k signing bonus for 2-year commitment, $30k stipend, and a combination of clinical and non-clinical days.
Flexible shifts (8s,10s and 12s); generous healthcare benefits along with other incentives such as 44 days PTO annually, CME ($1500 yearly), longevity increases, travel allowance, Employer 1:1 401k match, possible relocation assistance, Life/AD&D, STD/LTD, and Malpractice insurance.
NBA has exclusive contracts with several hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Centers including Roger Williams Medical Center; Our Lady of Fatima Hospital; Kent Hospital; Butler Hospital; Ortho RI, South County Hospital and University Ortho. Cases include: General, Bariatric, Ortho, Podiatry, Vascular, GU, Neuro, GYN, Thoracic, Endo, Surg Oncology Robotics, GYN-OB and Pedi-Dental.
Assistant Director of Nurse Anesthesia Program -CRNA is responsible for a range of academic, clinical, and administrative duties as follows:
Position Responsibilities:
• Reporting to and assisting the Program Director in daily operations and ensuring
compliance with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational
standards and guidelines.
• Conducting interviews with applicants and coordinating the clinical program of
graduate students.
• Organizing and preparing students for pre-clinical orientation and performing clinical
and didactic evaluations.
• Collaborating with the DNP-NA Curriculum Committee to contribute to curriculum
development and continuous improvement of the program while cultivating a culture
of learning and growth.
• Managing continuing curriculum components including clinical site placement, case
logs, learner evaluations, and preparing necessary reports.
• Delivering instruction in nurse anesthesia didactic and clinical coursework, including
advanced simulation experiences.
• Supporting students in DNP scholarly projects, evidence-based practice initiatives, and
dissemination activities.
• Actively engages in clinical practice at designated Narragansett Bay Anesthesia
hospital and ASC affiliates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Nursing Practice degree required.
• Prior experience in a leadership or administrative role within a DNP or graduate nursing
program preferred.
• Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) in the state
of Rhode Island required.
• Must be professional, collaborative, and results-oriented with sound judgment and
excellent oral and written communication skills.
