Village Family Dental is seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide IV sedation services in accordance with the NC Dental Board guidelines for primary dental sedation. This role is ideal for a CRNA who thrives in an office-based setting, enjoys working with a team of dental professionals and is dedicated to ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer IV sedation for oral surgery procedures

Assess patient medical history, evaluate risks, and develop individualized anesthesia plans

Monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary

Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during and after procedures

Educate patients on anesthesia risks and post-procedure care

Collaborate with dentists, oral surgeons, and clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of anesthesia care

Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards for office-based anesthesia

Qualifications:

Current CRNA certification and licensure in North Carolina

Minimum 5 years' experience in anesthesia, preferably in an office-based or dental setting

Proficiency in administering IV sedation and managing airway emergencies

strong understanding of ASA classifications, patient screening, and emergency preparedness in an outpatient setting

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

ACLS, PALS and BLS certification
