East Carolina Anesthesia Associates
About this Job
Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist-ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville, NC
Seeking future Cardiothoracic leaders in private practice! Excellent spot for fellows, stipend and signing bonus!
If you are a driven, business-oriented, cardiothoracic-trained anesthesiologist, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Although no immediate needs are available, our flagship location at ECU Health is always sourcing for exceptional future talent. ECU Health is an impressive Level 1 Trauma Center that serves a catchment area of over 1.5 million. With just under 1,000 beds and dedicated Heart Institute, our private practice physicians provide patient-centered cardiovascular care to a robust demographic from pediatric to geriatric populations. We are North Carolina East Coasts #1 Heart and Trauma Center. Partnered with ECU Health and Brody School of Medicine, the Heart Institute is the first in North Carolina devoted exclusively to education, research, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. This facility is an excellent choice for cardiothoracic anesthesiologists to provide medical direction within their full scope of practice and cases.
All cardiac cases are performed except transplants. Cases include CABG, valves, aortic dissections, TAVRs, TMVRs, laser led removals, Impella placement, LVADs, and ECMO.
Our cardiac physicians provide both cardiac and general anesthesia. In general they will see about 2-3 overnight in-house calls per month. Back-up pager call is approximately 3-4 times per month. Call is a mix of cardiac (mostly) and general call; average to 1 day/week and 1 weekend per month. In-house overnight shifts will have pre and post call day off, and the majority of the rest of the call is cardiac call (back up at home on pager after 7pm). Post call day is early out.
Our private practice is physician led and managed with no outside investors. We have never sold any stake in our practice, a true testament to our stability and growth.
We are always searching for future cardiac leaders and love speaking with driven physicians that are looking to be at the forefront of cardiac anesthesia and patient-centered anesthetic care. Residents and fellows are welcome to inquire within!
If you feel you may be a fit, or would like to learn more about our business model, we encourage you to reach out and speak with us today.
